Everyone Deserves to be LOVED

On February 10th, the First Baptist Church Woodstock in Georgia hosted a Night to Shine event, and Giant Letters of Atlanta was honored to sponsor and support this special cause. Night to Shine is a global prom night event for people with special needs, ages 14 and older, organized by the Tim Tebow Foundation. The goal of Night to Shine is to provide an unforgettable prom night experience for people with special needs and to spread a message of love, hope, and inclusion.

The Night to Shine event at First Baptist Church Woodstock was a truly magical and unforgettable experience for all who participated. The church was transformed into a stunning ballroom, complete with sparkling lights, a red carpet, and a throne for the king and queen of the night. The guests, known as “Kings and Queens,” were greeted with limousines, hair and makeup stations, and a dance floor that was alive with music and laughter.

The Kings and Queens were treated like royalty from the moment they stepped out of their limousines and walked the red carpet. They were greeted with cheers, applause, and a shower of confetti as they made their way into the church. Once inside, they were able to enjoy all the festivities, including a dance floor that was filled with music and laughter, food and drinks, and a professional photographer to capture all the special moments.

One of the highlights of the night was the crowning of the King and Queen of the prom. The Kings and Queens were escorted to the throne, where they were presented with a crown and scepter. The crowd erupted in cheers as they took their seats on the throne, surrounded by their friends and family. It was a truly touching moment that showcased the love, hope, and inclusion that Night to Shine represents.

The Night to Shine event at First Baptist Church Woodstock was not just a prom night, but it was a celebration of life and an opportunity for the community to come together and show their love and support for people with special needs. The guests, volunteers, and sponsors were all there to make the night a special one for the Kings and Queens. The atmosphere was electric, with everyone coming together to dance, sing, and have a great time.

The impact of Night to Shine on the Kings and Queens who participated was truly remarkable. Many of them had never been to a prom before, and for many, this was the first time they had ever felt truly special and included. The event provided them with an opportunity to be themselves, have fun, and make new friends. It also gave them a chance to break away from the challenges of their everyday lives and be transported to a world where they were the stars of the show.

The Night to Shine event also had a profound impact on the volunteers and sponsors who were involved. Many of them came away from the event with a new appreciation for the challenges faced by people with special needs and a newfound commitment to support and include them in their communities. The event was a powerful reminder that everyone deserves to be loved, valued, and included, regardless of their abilities or disabilities.
